Ingredients
  

  • 1 French baguette
  • 4.5 oz 125 g shredded cheese (Gruyère, Emmental, or a melty blend)
  • 3.5 tbsp 50 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (optional)

PREPARE THE BAGUETTE

    Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it’s fully heated before baking.

    Slice the baguette:

    • Cut it into slices about 1 to 1.5 inches thick. For a more rustic presentation, you can make cuts without fully separating the slices.

    Make the garlic butter:

    • In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with the minced garlic. Spread this mixture generously over one side of each slice.

    Add the cheese:

    • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over each slice for a rich, melty finish.

    BAKE THE BAGUETTES

      Arrange the slices:

      • Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

      Bake:

      • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.

      Serve:

      • Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a touch of freshness before serving.
